The Spanish Resource Center

The Spanish Resource Center at the University of Massachusetts Boston has been created to enhance the teaching and study of the Spanish language and cultures throughout the Commonwealth. The Center provides support for teachers, professionals, university students and all those interested in the knowledge and promotion of the Spanish language and cultures.

The Center has been made possible thanks to an agreement signed by the University of Massachusetts Boston, the Education Office of the Embassy of Spain in the United States, and the Massachusetts Department of Education

The Center is located at UMass Boston and houses an up to date collection of printed, audiovisual and electronic resources for teaching Spanish. In collaboration with the Department of Hispanic Studies it will facilitate the offering of teacher development courses and other academic programs.

The Education and Science Office provides the Center with bibliographic, computer and audiovisual resources to further its objectives. The Department of Education assists in the promotion of the Spanish language in the Commonwealth, and provides liaison with preK-12 schools, adult education and institutions of higher education across the state.
